Ron joined the group in it's early stages as a trombonist. Beginning in 2001, he became the director. Ron formerly played with the United States Marine Corps band. He has performed with and/or instructed various drum and bugle corps and marching bands throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and Canada. Ron also conducts the Kodak Concert Band, plays with the Gateswingers, and Papa Joe’s Crawfish Stew Dixieland band. He has directed several musicals in the Rochester area and is an avid tennis player.

Maggie's professional singing career started in the '80's fronting a jazz ensemble and a cover band in the Milwaukee/Chicago area.  In the 90's she performed in Houston.  Shortly before moving to Rochester in 2003 she released her first CD "The Present". It is available at the Barnes and Noble in Pittsford, NY.  In addition to working with the Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, she performs in a variety of trios, quartets, and bands in the Rochester area including her own group, the Maggie Mullen Quartet.
